Seeing more through my eyes

So I found some old photos and just took some new ones. Over all I think they work. The sad thing is it really makes me want to shoot a movie in film, but I know I don't have the money for it. Only if I could just get the character of film that it gives off onto a movie, that I can shoot for cheep!

Like I said... through my eyes.

The Press Kit

One cool thing about working with musicians is not just the music videos, but the press kits, or to me the mini documentaries about the artist. One thing I will try and do with my new company lifted pictures is really try to incorporate not just who the artist is on stage but who they are as a person.

Here is a press kit I directed for my little brother Quincy Mumford. Check out the young artists! Who knows, you could just like him as a person just as much. Click HERE to view.

Love to shoot!

"Why are we doing this!" "I thought you said we weren't going to pose?" "I feel dumb." "SHUT UP AND LET ME TAKE THE PHOTO!"

So when you have a brother who is a musician, you end up not just being the guy directing his music videos, but taking the band photos as well!

And even though I didn't go to school for photography, I like to use my directing eye from film to get the image I want. My brothers photos have changed through the years using other photographers, I think Quincy and my father decided to save money and higher me. I like the job, get to shoot on film and I an't paying for the development. The cool thing is I try and make the mood really work for who the subject is, and they don't even know I'm doing it.

Most of the time I hear them complain or they start to talk so I just take the photo. By the end it looks awesome, but when doing it the band has no idea what's going on. Maybe it's just my brother.

I decide to have some fun at the end of the shoot, and made the band hold up shed tools and complain about what they are doing just for the heck of it to finish out my roll. Check out below.
